Rx. Scrophulariae Xuan Shen 7-30g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin, softens hardnesses, dissipates nodules, transforms Phlegm-Heat, drains Fire and relieves toxicity.
Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 3-15g Invigorates and harmonizes the Blood, stops pain due to Blood Stasis, reduces swelling, expels pus, and generates flesh.
Rx. Paeoniae Rubra Chi Shao 4.5-15g Reduces swelling from sores and abscesses.
Cx. Phellodendri Huang Bai 3-12g Drains Fire and relieves Fire toxicity.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 3-18g Clears Heat, dries Dampness, drains Fire and detoxifies.
With Huang Lian, drains pathogenic Heat from the Upper and Middle Jiaos.
Rz. Coptidis Huang Lian 1.5-10g Clears Heat topically.
Myrrh Mo Yao 3-12g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, alleviates pain, reduces swelling, generates flesh and promotes healing.
Olibanum Ru Xiang 3-10g Invigorates the Blood, promotes the movement of Qi, reduces swelling and generates flesh.
With Mo Yao, topically as a powder for skin lesions and ulcerations.

NOTES

  • Pick five or six of the above herbs/ Powder them. Fry until carbonized. Strain and add olive oil. Mix in low heat for six hours. Strain through cheesecloth. Add beeswax for hardening.
